Rene Licona focuses his practice in the areas of civil and mercantile law, and constitutional amparo claims. In his practice, Rene has represented a variety of multi-national companies in the defense of their interests and contractual rights. He has unique experience in the litigation of airline other large commercial accidents in the defense of passenger and victim claims.

In combination with his practice at the firm, Rene has worked in the Prosecutor’s Office of the City of Los Angeles, California, and for the Superior Courts of the County of Los Angeles. He has also handled cases in conjunction with Public Counsel, the largest pro bono law firm in the United States.

Rene is one of only a few Mexican attorneys expert in the accusatorial system and oral advocacy. He frequently serves as an instructor in oral advocacy for Latin American court systems working to implement oral trials and the adversarial system.
